LITGAS and Statoil have signed the amended baseload supply agreement

LITGAS, a natural gas trading company, part of Lietuvos Energija energy company group, has signed a reshaped baseload supply agreement with Statoil. The amendments of the agreement will help to reduce the operation costs of Klaipėda’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal by a third and, in turn, energy prices for final consumers.

Merger between Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas and LITGAS postponed

The state-controlled Lietuvos Energija Group of energy companies has postponed the reorganisation of its natural gas supply and trade companies Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas (LDT) and LITGAS as a result of which LITGAS should have been merged with LDT by acquisition.  This decision adopted by the Board of Lietuvos Energija has been approved by the Ministry of Finance which controls its shares.
