The natural gas supply and trading companies Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas and LITGAS belonging to the state-owned energy companies group Lietuvos Energija published their reorganization conditions.
The liquefied natural gas supplier LITGAS and the natural gas trading company Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas, both of which belong to the Lietuvos Energija group, will implement Lithuania’s first large deal of supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) by land. The LNG will be transported from Klaipeda to consumers in Estonia, Poland, and Lithuania by as many as 100 LNG trucks.
A natural gas supply and trading company LITGAS, part of state-controlled Lietuvos Energija energy company group, will supply LNG to Polish company DUON. For the first time LNG will be supplied by trucks from Klaipėdos Nafta’s new onshore LNG reloading station to Poland.

Lithuanian natural gas trading companies UAB LITGAS and UAB Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas (LDT), both part of Lietuvos Energija energy company group, and Statoil ASA have signed an agreement enabling reliable and flexible wholesale LNG supplies at Klaipeda’s LNG terminal and, thus, contribute to the development of the small scale LNG market in the Baltic region.
LITGAS, a natural gas trading company, part of Lietuvos Energija energy company group, has signed a reshaped baseload supply agreement with Statoil. The amendments of the agreement will help to reduce the operation costs of Klaipėda’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal by a third and, in turn, energy prices for final consumers.
The state-controlled Lietuvos Energija Group of energy companies has postponed the reorganisation of its natural gas supply and trade companies Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas (LDT) and LITGAS as a result of which LITGAS should have been merged with LDT by acquisition. This decision adopted by the Board of Lietuvos Energija has been approved by the Ministry of Finance which controls its shares.

Natural gas supply and trading company LITGAS, part of Lithuania’s state owned energy holding Lietuvos Energija, and Statoil, leading global energy company in oil and gas production, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday in Vilnius, Lithuania regarding establishment of a joint venture company in Lithuania to develop small scale LNG bunkering services.
State controlled energy company group Lietuvos Energija decided to merge its two natural gas supply daughter companies: Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas and LITGAS. Such move will create one powerful gas supply company in Lithuania which will seek to expand its activities in the Baltic region.
The natural gas supply and trading company LITGAS, part of the Lithuanian state controlled Lietuvos Energija energy company group, on February 27 signed a master trade agreement to enable purchases of LNG from Cheniere Marketing, a subsidiary of Cheniere Energy. Cheniere Energy will open the first LNG export terminal in the U.S. in over 40 years later this year, first LNG expected to arrive in Lithuania as early as 2016.
